As with all medical fields, the dental health team at Dr. Etts’ office understands that your dental health cannot be treated without referencing your dental health history and your medical history. Oral health and overall health are closely connected, and issues with each can impact the other. You can even be more prone to developing certain dental health issues if you suffer from certain health concerns. Each patient is evaluated with the understanding that they are a unique individual with specialized needs and not simply a name on a chart. In addition to digital x-rays, with up to 90% less radiation than old film x-rays, our office uses a small pen-sized camera called an intraoral camera. This technology allows us to show you what we see when examining your mouth. The combination of diagnostic information gives us a clearer picture for diagnosis and treatment planning.
